Joel Medgebow, the founder of Medgebow Law, is a skillful, talented and experienced trial lawyer and litigator practicing personal injury, debt defense, business matters, commercial and corporate law, criminal defense, real estate, and landlord/tenant law.
Prior to founding the firm, Mr. Medgebow served as a certified legal intern with the Virgil Hawkins Criminal Defense Clinic. As a CLI, Mr. Medgebow spent a year working for the Alachua County Public Defender’s Office in which he represented hundreds of clients for various felony and misdemeanor charges. He also worked for the South Florida law firm of Tripp Scott as a summer associate in their litigation department, applying legal research and litigation skills to various genres of law.
As a law student, Mr. Medgebow interned for Broward County Criminal Circuit Judge, The Honorable Jeffrey R. Levenson. During his time as an intern, Mr. Medgebow keened his skills in criminal law, learning the intricacies necessary to navigate a defendant through the legal system in order to resolve their issues.
Active in the local community, Mr. Medgebow is a good standing member of the Broward County Bar Association, the Florida Bar, and he participates as a Judge and volunteer to Nova Southeastern College of Law’s Nova Trial Association. In addition, Mr. Medgebow participates in the Florida State University, and the University of Florida’s Alumni Associations.
Mr. Medgebow holds a law degree, cum laude, from the University of Florida Levin College of Law. During law school, he was selected as a member of the Trial Team, where he competed in multiple travel competitions, helping the University of Florida Trial Team win the Florida Bar Competition. Mr. Medgebow also served as an assistant editor of the University of Florida Entertainment Law review, as well as a teacher’s assistant to the University of Florida’s Trial Practice workshop, helping law students hone in on their litigation skills.
For his undergraduate studies, Mr. Medgebow attended the Florida State University, graduating magna cum laude, where he received a degree in criminal justice and a minor in business administration.

Louis F. Leo IV is a general practitioner and trial attorney who currenty leads the North Florida trial division of Medgebow Law, P.A.
In 2010, Louis graduated with honors from Shepard Broad Law Center at Nova Southeastern University, having received a merit scholarship, the Krupnick & Campbell Award, as well as the Order of the Barrister Award for displaying excellence in trial advocacy.
During law school, Louis was elected as President of the Nova Trial Association (formerly known as “ATLA”). He also served as a Research Assistant for his professors, Certified Legal Intern (CLI) for the Broward County State Attorney’s Office and as a Judicial Intern for Broward County Criminal Circuit Judge, The Honorable Martin J. Bidwill.
For his undergraduate studies, Louis attended the Farquar College of Arts and Science at Nova Southeastern University, where he received a degree in Legal Studies with minors in Business, Criminal Justice, and Psychology. At NSU undergrad, Louis received a Florida Bright Futures Scholarship, NSU Honor Award, and Athletic Scholarship. He also played for NSU’s Division II Baseball Team from 2002 to 2006.

Matthew A. Benzion is the managing partner of Matt Benzion, P.A., and serves as of-counsel to Medgebow Law by supporting its practice in the area of Family law.
Prior to starting his own family law firm and joining Medgebow Law as of-counsel, Mr. Benzion held positions as a senior associate with two family and matrimonial law firms in both Palm Beach and Broward County where he worked in complex divorce litigation serving high net-worth clientele. In these positions Mr. Benzion was guided by a high expectation of professionalism and integrity.
Mr. Benzion always takes effort to attempt to amicably resolve disputes whenever possible. At the same time, Mr. Benzion is prepared to passionately litigate to protect a client’s interests if court intervention becomes necessary. In every case, Mr. Benzion gives his clients honest and practical advice, and through creativity and personal dedication, Mr. Benzion strives to obtain the best possible results for his clients.

Robert C. Wallach is the managing partner of The Law Offices of Robert Craig Wallach, P.A., and serves as of-counsel to Medgebow Law by supporting its practice in the area of Estate Planning law.

Robert grew up the son of an Army sergeant and was taught as a young man the meaning of hard work.
Prior to becoming a lawyer, Robert spent 20 years as a financial analyst and often appeared on Bloomberg News.
